Youth Forum for Democracy & Citizenships
Act Now, Impact the Future

Who are we?

The Youth Forum for Democracy and Citizenship is a registered non-profit Moroccan association that aims at instilling the values of democracy and good practices of citizenship among young people in Morocco. Our mission is to empower youth in the Moroccan society and get them the opportunity to channel their voices to the decision making level. It is also a platform to promote human rights, equality and awareness about national and international causes. Our work is destined to improve the quality of life of the young population of the world. Therefore, we work on three main pillars:

01

Youth Empowerment

The Youth Forum for Democracy and Citizenship works on the attitudinal, structural, and cultural process whereby young people gain the ability, authority, and agency to make decisions and implement change in their own lives and the lives of other people, including youth and adults.

02

Democracy

The Youth Forum for Democracy and Citizenship works on the Core Democratic Values or the fundamental beliefs and constitutional principles of our society, which units all Moroccans. These values are expressed in the Constitution and other significant documents, speeches, and other writings of our nation.

03

Active Citizenship

The Youth Forum for Democracy and Citizenship works on implementing and activating a sense of citizenship within the community. In addition to how Active citizenship can be seen as an articulation of the debate over rights versus responsibilities.

The YFDC departments
The Youth Forum for  Democracy and Citizenship  is quite decentralized and  do not have an elaborate  hierarchical structure. In  our cases, staff work is  largely independent and  decisions are often made  with little reliance on a  structured chain of  command and may appear  to outsiders as inefficient.  However, The Youth  Forum for Democracy and  Citizenship is heavily  dependent on the  individual commitment  and initiative of our staff,  and, therefore, the most effective managerial style is characterized by a high degree of personal engagement. The Youth Forum for Democracy and Citizenship operates through 5 departments. Each department is independent. The departments communicate before initiating any project or event. The departments are:
